On Saturday we celebrated Shaylee's 2nd birthday. We had cupcakes and icecream with family. It was really fun, and Shaylee had a really good time with her cousins! Thanks to all those who came, and for your thoughtful gifts!

Today I took Shaylee to get her pictures taken for Christmas. Easier said than done. This little munchkin was not so cooperative today. First, I let her take a nice long nap so that she was in a good mood once we got to the studio. So, when she awakens I distract her with marshmallows and her favorite movie, "Planet 51". I pull out the curling iron and start away at her hair. The fit that she threw you would have thought I was beating her. The tears that were flowing and the shrieks of terror escaping were as if I was torturing this poor little girl. Well, I finally finish and put her in the car and we are on our way. The dress was at my mom's house. I walk to to the doorway and it is locked, I walk to the side door and LOCKED! I had to be at JC Penny in twenty minutes and I still had to dress this distressed tot! Bah, so grandma saves me and I get Shaylee bug dressed. I get to the studio and Shaylee is bouncing around like a crazy person. She won't stay still and is climbing all over everything, all the props, etc. She won't look at the camera or smile. But, I guess what can you expect out of a one year old, ha ha. But we did manage to get some cute ones, which I knew we would because you have all heard me say it a million times,"Shaylee is just so cute!" Here is the proof!

Shaylee Bug

I took little miss Shaylee bug to Wheeler Farm today. She has never been, and I really wanted to get out of the house. She loved the cows, the chickens, and especially the ducks. She got a little scared when the rooster crowed right in front of her. I took my camera with me, but she could hardly take her eyes off the animals so that I could get a good picture. Of course, they always turn out adorable (I know that I have a biased opinion!)

Like I said, adorable, right? Ha ha. Well Shaylee did have a really good time. I am so happy that I get to spend more time with her. I could not ask for more!

Tonight Trina came over and we made Funfetti, Halloween cupcakes. They are the most delicious, appetizing, awesome, tasty cupcakes ever made. Mostly because Trina and I made them, but that goes without saying.

The pictures really speak for themselves. Ahhh... I love funfetti.

Shaylee turns one!

On Septemeber 23rd Shaylee girl tuned the big one. I worked late that night, so we decided to throw a big combined party with Ladd on Saturday, the 25th. We had pizza and crazy bread, cake, watermelon and all sorts of treats. Thanks to everyone that came, it was a blast.

Shaylee and Ladd share the same birthday, so we decided to celebrate together!

Shaylee had a Tinkerbell theme. My mom mad her an awesome Tinkerbell cake.

Ladd loves Buzzlightyear, so Shannyn had a special cake made just for him. He could not wait to get that Buzz off the cake.

Once again, thanks to all the family and friends that came over to celebrate. We really appreciate all the support!

She is finally here!!

Shaylee Lynne Sievert has finally arrived. She was born on her due date, September 23, 2009, at 12:40 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 6.9oz., and measured 20 inches long. We are so excited and thrilled that she is here. We are so thankful that she is so happy and healthy, we consider ourselves so blessed. She is dad's little princess, and my angel.

We have just been trying to adjust to life with a new little one. Getting up every three hours for feedings, poopy diapers, and all the other fun responsibilites that come with a new baby. It is all worth it though when you look at this cute little face.

I know I have been a slacker. So, I am updating this blog, so that my mom will get off my back. Just kidding, mom! Anyway, there is alot of news to report! First, you have to forgive me if the blog does not get updated on a regular basis because I no longer have a laptop. Our house was broken into about 3 weeks ago and everything was taken. Laptops, cameras, our GPS, Luke's playstation 3, and the rest of our electronics. The insurance will cover most, but the things that we can't replace, like all the pictures that were stored on our laptops, my wedding jewelry, etc. that is what makes me really upset.

But onto some more exciting news, if you didn't know already (man you are really out of the loop!) I am 23 weeks pregnant. We just found out it is a little girl! We are so excited and could not be happier! Here are some picks of the ultrasounds:

This is at 17 weeks. They could not tell us what the sex was at this visit because her legs were crossed! So we had to go back at 22 weeks!

This is the most recent at 22 weeks, where she finally showed us the goods! :)

Well, that is the most up to date news, hopefully I will be getting a new computer and camera and can update more!!

Major update!

Ok so I know it has been since October since I last updated this blog, but alot has taken place since then!! So cut me some slack!

OK so in November Luke and I bought a house. Which is very exciting, we have been working so hard to renovate and make it our very own.

Some of the improvements that we have done include: rounding corners, texturing all the walls, new prime and paint, painting all baseboards, creating brand new window seals, and Luke ripped off the rock wings off of the fire place.

OK so no pictures of that until it is finished. It is going to look so so good!

Alright then in December we added a bundle of joy to the family! My sister delivered her 2nd baby: Jordyn Elizabeth drake. We are so excited that she is here and she is just the most precious thing that you have ever seen!

She is just so so CUTE!

Well, there are things that I left out but that is just going to have to wait for another post!

Today we carved pumpkins with my family. It was a lot of fun. Luke made me my own custom Tinker bell stencil to carve on my pumpkin.It took me a while, but I think it turned out very cute. Madisen was there, and she was "helping" everyone carve the "punks," it was very adorable.

Just wanted to post an update. Things are good, Luke and I are trying to get into a house. So, right now our lives just consist of working and saving, working and saving. We will get there! Nothing much to post, I just feel bad when it has been over a month since I have put anything new. This Saturday I am helping my friend Marissa throw a Halloween party, so that should be a lot of fun! I don't know what I am going as though, not much time left! But I will for sure post some pics after the weekend!

Camping!

This weekend Luke and I went camping with some of our friends. We went up American Fork Canyon, and it was a lot of fun. This is only like my second time camping, but I loved it. We went fishing, and I caught a fish!

Hey he is not very big, but I was proud anyways!

We played games and made s'mores. We made a delicious dutch oven meal, complete with peach cobbler. It was really good to get away for the three day weekend. We did, however, end up getting rained on. Our tent was a little leaky, and so we decided to come home a little earlier than planned.

Try as he might, Luke could not catch a fish that day :(

Back in Utah

Well, Luke and I are back in Utah. After staying in Texas for two months, we decided the best thing for us is just to come back home. I am really happy though, I was getting so home sick. I have never been away from home for that long. But, man we are glad to get away from that Texas heat and humidity! For now we are living at home with my mom, in her basement until we get on our feet. We are so thankful for both of our family's support. They truely have helped us so much, and we don't know what we would do without them! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Well, here we are in Austin, Texas. Who would have thought, not me that is for sure. We have been here since the beginning of May, but it still does not feel like home. We packed up what we could in our Honda Accord and headed out. Here are some pics of us on our 24 hour drive to this enourmous state.

We also stopped at Billy the Kid's "Official" burial site. Just one of the many exciting stops that Luke and I took. Man, that was a long drive.
